Ｐｌａｉｔｓの製品は、たくさんの布を編んでつくります。布の生地や色柄は一定ではないので、編みあがったものの表情もまた、ひとつひとつ違っています。
手作りならではの風合いとあたたかさを、どうぞ楽しんでください。

Handicrafts at “Plaits” are produced out of many plaits. Each plaits is made by different clothes with various colors, designs and qualities, so that handicrafts at “Plaits” are different from each other. The handmade soft texture would be sure to make you feel heart-warming.





三つ編みから生まれる色合いの面白さ


三つ編みにあたっては、あらかじめ同系色などのセットにしてから編む場合と、ワーカー自身に布地の選択を任せ、あえてランダムに編んでいく場合があります。
同色・同系色セットでは、完成品の姿がある程度予測でき、無難に仕上がります。これに対して、ワーカー本人が手探りで選び取った組み合わせでは、意外な色がまじりあって、思いがけない効果を生むこともしばしばです。

There are two ways of plaiting; 1) to collect clothes of similar colors, and 2) to collect clothes of various colors. Plaits’ handicrafts by similar colors are ordinary and innocuous as are well expected and imagined, the other handicrafts by various colors are sometimes quite unexpected and special beyond the imagination of workers.


How to make?

	企業や個人の協力者から到着した布。 三つ編みしやすいように、一定幅にカットしていただいています。 Boxes of various clothes already cut long and narrow enough to be easily plaited.
	布地３枚を合わせ、丁寧に編んでいきます。 長いものは足の指を使って、引き締めつつ、きっちり編み上げます。 Plaiting carefully the clothes in three strands. Long clothes are plaited tightly with toes.
	こんなひも状の三つ編みが、たくさん出来上がります。 Many plaits in three strands are ready for handicrafts.
	工房でマットや手提げバッグなどに縫製。出荷を待ちます。 Plaits handicraft of mats and handbags are sewed at “Plaits” workshop for delivery.
